Socianet partnered with Ajinomoto Co., Inc to ease their seasoning product back into the Nigerian market and debunk negative rumours around it. We designed and implemented marketing campaigns to improve product awareness and usage.
Summary
Ajinomoto Co., Inc is a multinational food and biotechnology corporation looking to ease their product back into the Nigerian market. We worked with the brand to create educational and engaging campaigns to re-introduce products and build a positive brand perception.
Challenge
Ajinimoto had been in the very competitive Nigerian food market for a long time. They, however, lost major market share to competitors due to product misconception and low use of digital marketing to amplify their voice.
Our role was to gradually ease the product back into the market, debunking rumours, educating the public on the product, building awareness and empowering people alongside.
Solutions
To achieve this, we devised a two-in-one strategy to build a strong digital presence and change brand perception simultaneously.
The strategy covered educational and engaging campaigns led by mega industry influencers with positive brand perception to share the brand’s messaging to its audience.
We also created a YouTube series to educate people on product usage. Our tactics paid off with over 50,000 followers and skyrocketing engagement rate on digital channels indicating the improvement in brand perception.
